I found a solution yesterday to a problem I was having. How were we going to hang our stockings from our first-ever mantle for our first Christmas in our new house!? If you know me, it certainly couldn't be expensive and it couldn't be so-so :)
We didn't have a proper nativity and I wanted something big and bold - a statement piece - that reminds us everyday the true meaning of Christmas. This turned out better than I imagined and it's much bigger looking in person - spanning nearly our entire mantle!
I've been busy with Christmas projects for the last 3 weeks and I can't wait to share them with you as I finish! My family sure will be grateful to have the front room and formal dining room clean and functional again (It's all part of the process, right?)!
Hey there! I was decorating our Christmas tree just yesterday when I thought about adding some copper ornaments, which got me to thinking about the copper pipe we had in our garage, which got me to thinking about wind chimes I saw at the store a few days before, which of course led me to making my own (now you know how distracted I can get)! It was easy peasy and took my only a few hours!
Welcome to our new laundry room! I've been working on making our laundry room a happier place to be (because I'm in there a lot) and it all started with me getting frustrated with our previous laundry sorter. It was flimsy, the separator bins would always fall off when you took clothes out, the caster wheels kept coming off and the lid was scratching our wall. I thought for a few weeks about a design and came up with something I'm very pleased with!
